Dwet Tsemp was not usually a particularly fast racer. And 'not particularly fast' usually meant crossing the finish line after most others had already been given medals, popped and imbibed fizzy alcoholic beverages, and passed out. His racing machines were usually... unique. To put it kindly. Others preferred flash, style, and - well - speed. But this time, Dwet knew his tread-bike had something that most other racers on Haruun Kal lacked. Reliability.

"Get out of the way, space-slug!"

Dwet smiled to himself as the flimsy swoop bike swept by him. They had just entered the lowlands, where toxic mists attacked both riders and their vehicles. While most racers were aware of the need for breathing masks, fewer realized how quickly the mists could corrode unshielded vehicles...

*CRASH*

He trundled past the smoking wreckage of the swoop that had passed him moments before, its front durasteel bars eaten completely through by the corrosive toxins. No one was laughing at him or his sturdy tread-bike now!

He stuck out like a sore thumb. After all, his battered transport pod was a far cry from the purpose built racing machines it was up against. He didn't give them a name, he wasn't sticking around long enough for it to matter. He was here for his target, nothing more. Crossing the finish line would just be a bonus to his primary mission. They called him lefty, on account of the arm, the only thing that seemed new or pristine about him or his ship. The blaster at his side quashed any interest in further prying, and he seemed disinterested in any further divulgence.

As soon as this competition has began, I was ecstatic to get to work. I knew I wanted to make my racer have an F1 color scheme so I went through and dug out old pieces of Atlantis sets (I got every wave 1 Atlantis set as a kid so I had all these submarine parts in bulk). The main inspiration for this was a simulator ride called Typhoon, that I adored as a kid. There was a level there called "Ravine Racer" and I just envisioned my ship to sort of replicate that in a way as it was a very dear memory to me.

In conclusion I am very glad that I decided to participate in this event. As with any moc for this rpg I have learnt something new and found ways to challenge myself. That is probably why I love this factions community so much because all the nice people around you really push you to achieve your best potential and thanks to this rpg I have learnt how to edit, make ships and immersive scenes (something that I probably would never have done on my own). And here comes Garrulox Primptor in his fabulous racing machine, the Red Devil! The four-armed wonder nimbly pilots his racing airspeeder around a Power Ski and rushes towards the finish on Ando Prime! Will  the famous Primptor and his faithful sidekick, SL0-DWN slide into first? Or will their hopes come down like an avalanche? Find out at THE GRAN PRIX!

Originally entering life as an FX-21 Farm Speeder from Pretormin, this modified racer was custom-built by Corellian-based Roufi Racing. It features an upgraded engine and intakes, aerodynamic fins, and a chained-on podracer engine for speed.
