The pirates are an anarchic collection of loosely aligned ship captains. Each ship embodies it’s own virtues, be it a desire for wealth, a love for freedom or a cruel will to take.

You may build any number or array of different pirates factions. Imperial defectors, Hutt gangs, escaped slaves, mutineered Republic Navy, Rebel hard liners, mercenaries and anything you can think of

The pirates will focus on raiding and piracy, establishing pirate fortresses that give opportunity to raid along the trade lanes of the galaxy

Organization and Operation

Each captain of the pirates will get a vote in any joint activity the pirates get involved in. Such as assigning assets, targeted aggression against a faction, granting tempoary truce to a faction, negotiating protection rackets to factions and judging internal pirate disputes.
To become a pirate captain one must make a ship build and a figbarf of the crew.

Any pirate captain that builds two or more ships becomes a Commodore or another suitably piratey title.

A pirate captain that has built a large ship capable of forming a fleet may elect to move their sheep into their own fleet. That pirate captain will have control of that fleet and how and when it pirates. They become an admiral or another suitably piratey title.

A higher pirate rank beyond captain does not give extra votes.

The pirates have a diplomatic anarchy, in that each individual pirate may decide their own diplomacy and attack or not attack any faction they wish, and conduct diplomacy under their own iniative. 
As a protection, any pirate captain acting under their own dplomacy may be removed from the faction by a pirate council vote if their actions become too damaging to the collective as a whole. Ideally this will be done in helping the pirate captain form their own faction. This action is not conducted in bad faith, but to allow players to play the game they want to while maintaining the pirate faction.

Any pirate captain that does not want to conduct their own diplomacy may opt in to following the diplomacy of the current faction leader. They may opt out and start negotiating on their own at any time.

 

The leader of the faction vote counts as a tie breaker in the event of a tie during council votes.

The current pirate leader is Chyunki Sulkijec, the Pirate King, played by @Netherdawn (the nom de guerre of Pirate King holds no additional power)

Piracy has long been a part of galaxy so long as there have been ships entering into space.
