INTRODUCTION

The Star Wars Factions Role Playing Game

The Factions game is a LEGO Star Wars game of your imagination. It is part building, part storytelling, part social interaction, part strategy game, and part role playing game. You and your team-mates grow and develop your faction, and tell the stories around it through your LEGO creations. The Game Masters (GMs) control Non-Playable Character Factions and the overall narrative. The GMs facilitate build-challenges, and referees the game. Together the Game Masters and you, the players, make the game come alive.

Factions

Factions are the teams of the game. You and your team-mates build to decide the fate of your faction. Your faction could be a religious cult seeking to spread the light of the force or a vengeful imperial remnant subjugating its population on the edge of the outer rim. You might be courageous rangers roaming the edges of New Republic space, to bring justice to fringe worlds, opportunistic criminal syndicates looking to fill the power vacuum, or a simple guild building a trade enterprise. As your faction works to accomplish its unique goals, it gains influence and grows to reach new worlds.

Playing the Game

The Factions game is based on one core mechanic: Building LEGO Star Wars creations. Everything revolves around the score a builder and player’s LEGO creation is awarded. Whenever you’re exploring new worlds, participating in a challenge, or just telling the story of your faction, you do this:

  1.

1. Build your moc
(My Own Creation)

2. Document your moc in photos and writing on the Factions forum

3. Await your moc-score
(XP + Credits)

The Rules

You don’t have to memorize all of the rules to play!

Once you understand the basics, start building! The rules are here, and you can use these as a reference during play. The Game Masters and Faction Leaders are also here to help. When in doubt, stick to the basics, keep building, and have fun.
