As 2024 draws to a close and the holiday season is upon us, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what we’ve accomplished and look forward to what’s ahead. Factions Season 3 may only be eight months old, but 2025 will mark the 7th year of this incredible LEGO Star Wars RPG.
This past year has seen the most ambitious iteration of Factions to date. Beyond the new rules, map, and fresh aesthetics, the true stars of this RPG are the LEGO MOCs and the amazing community of builders who bring it all to life. The creativity and craftsmanship have reached new heights, and the energy in the community is palpable, with vibrant discussions and contributions every day. That’s worth a Wookiee roar and a standing ovation!
Thank you for being such an amazing community and for continuing to make Factions the best it can be.
Now, let’s look ahead to 2025
January + February
Battle System
Will expanded on space battle and how to invade systems controlled by an opponent faction.
Updated NPCs
Non-Player Factions will be updated to be more streamlined and fleshed out.
New Assets
New assets for attack and defense, as well as new artifact and item assets hidden across the galaxy for all the explorers and treasure hunters.
Map Update
Info panel with details about each system, as well as all the systems and planets from Ahsoka and Andor.
January LTC
January will see our next Limited Time Challenge build event – stay tuned for an awesome creative constraint.
Episode III
In February, we’re excited to announce Episode III which will kick off the first multi-episode story arc of Factions season three.
April + May
Factions Day
A day for celebrating the Star Wars Factions RPG and community and handing out Player Awards.
More updates are still being worked on, but we wanted to give you this advance look into what’s coming up. Also note that things might move around, be added, or changed. We will come back in February with another look at the Roadmap, covering upcoming months in more detail.
Life Day Present
One more thing. In the spirit of Life Day every faction will receive a free Outpost (50IP) on a system of their choice. The outpost has to be placed before January 12th.
