A high-stakes Kessel-Sabacc tournament reserved for the galaxy’s most elite players. Keen minds, steady hands, and nerves of durasteel—only the finest will rise.

🐎 The Canto-Key Derby
A breathtaking beast race featuring the fastest, fiercest mounts and the most accomplished jockeys in the sport. Expect thunderous speed, razor-sharp strategy, and a finish that can turn legends into champions.

🎼 The Canto Melodica
A dazzling music competition where the galaxy’s greatest performers battle for the title of premier act. Voices, instruments, and artistry collide in an unforgettable showcase of sound.

Rules

• The entry window for the tournament will run from December 5th to December 28th.
• The tournament will run from January 1st to January 6th.
• Include the challenge and category in your entry title [Tournament – Canto Bight Classic – Canto Royale]-
• All entries must be original characters. Using established Star Wars characters is not allowed (No Lando or Jaxxon).

Category A: CANTO ROYALE

Create a high-stakes gambler figbarf poised for victory in the legendary Canto Royale elite Kessel-Sabacc Tournament. Show off their flashy style, confidence, and cunning as they play for fortunes beyond imagination!

• You may submit up to three gamblers to compete in the high-stakes Sabacc Tournament.
• To keep entries streamlined, please include all three characters in a single submission when possible.
• Please include:
  • An image of your characters (with optional accessories) in front of a neutral background—or ideally, a cut-out PNG version for inclusion on the official tournament card
  • Their name(s)
  • an (optional) catchphrase to be featured on the card Style matters.
  • Canto Bight’s casino dress code leans toward elevated fashion—but remember, style is a matter of perspective. A sabacc prodigy from a dusty backwater world might dress differently than a Denon highroller. Let your gambler’s look tell their story.
  • Optional: Elevate your XP by placing your gamblers in a scene, vignette, or dramatic moment that showcases their style, cunning, or tension under pressure.

Category B: THE CANTO-KEY DERBY

Build a speed-hungry brick beast and its determined jockey, battling in Canto Bight’s legendary open derby! With glory and the Key to the City on the line, only the fastest and most fearless will triumph!

• You may submit up to two brick-built beasts and minifig jockeys to compete in the open derby. While Fathiers are common, any mount is allowed—as long as it can handle the heat. The fastest mounts reach 80–90kph, but with a 10km race distance, endurance matters too. The combined weight of mount and jockey must not exceed 1000kg.
• Please include:
  • An image of your mount and jockey (with optional accessories) in front of a neutral background—or ideally, a cut-out PNG version for tournament graphics
  • Name of the beast
  • Name of the jockey
  • Beast species
  • Homeworld
  • A 10-point stat split across Speed, Endurance, and Recklessness (max 5 points per trait)
  • Optional: Elevate your XP by placing your team in a scene, vignette, or dramatic moment that showcases their speed, endurance, or reckless flair.

Category C: THE CANTO MELODICA

A Figbarf showcase of a band, musician, orchestra, singer delivering a performance like no other! From Ubese Gothrap to Binary Electronic, every genre in the galaxy is welcome—complete with a one-of-a-kind stage design to match their star presence!

• You may submit one band, musician, orchestra, singer in a unique, flashy setting. Here, it’s expected to place your act in a dramatic scene—on stage, mid-performance, at the height of their moment. The stage design is explicitly part of the vote.
• Maximum size 24x24x24 studs (maximum overhang 2 studs)
• Please include:
  • An image of the musicians on stage – with the stage in front of a neutral background—or better yet, a cut-out PNG version for tournament graphics
  • Name of the musician / band / orchestra
  • Homeworld

Tournament Procedure

Category A: CANTO ROYALE

• The Sabacc Tournament unfolds across multiple rounds, each played at tables of six gamblers.
• All factions members (the spectators) are eligible for voting and can submit up to 6 votes each per table (vote for one or up to all).
• At each table, the two gamblers with the highest popularity vote advance to the next round.
• A third gambler is chosen by a random generator as the Lucky Loser, completing the next table lineup.
• This process repeats across rounds, narrowing the field toward the final showdown.
• The Duel: The two highest votes on the final table advance into head-to-head and go all-in for the ultimate prize.
  • Note: Faction members of the final two duellists are excluded from voting in the final duel.

Category B: THE CANTO-KEY DERBY

• Each round features six jockeys competing head-to-head on the Casino’s famous racetrack.
• The two jockeys with the highest popularity vote advance to the next round.
• A third contestant advances based on the highest stat in the race’s randomly chosen tiebreaker trait: Speed, Endurance, or Recklessness—selected anew for each race.
• This process repeats across rounds, narrowing the field toward the final showdown, the Photo Finish.
• Photo Finish: In the final race, the two highest-voted jockeys break away from the pack. They charge down the homestretch, locked in a head-to-head sprint for the ultimate prize. It’s a duel to decide the tournament victory.
  • Note: Faction members of the final two contestants are excluded from voting in the final duel—to ensure a clean finish.

Category C: THE CANTO MELODICA

• The Song Contest is a Knock-out Tournament—two acts face off for the audience’s favor. Style, spectacle, and sonic impact matter.
  • Note: Faction members of the two contestants are excluded from voting in the duel.

Prizes

Category A: CANTO ROYALE

• Advancing one round through the tournament earns you 5k and 5RP.
• The main prize is a tropical moon in the Deltooine System in S3. The winner receives 50 IP there.

Category B: THE CANTO-KEY DERBY

• Advancing one round earns you 10k and 10 RP.
• The main prize is the key to the city of Canto Bight. Your faction receives 50 IP on Cantonica!

Category C: THE CANTO MELODICA

• Advancing one round earns you 10k and 10 RP.
• The main prize is a hyperroute-map forged by the Clatuuvac Guild on Kashyyyk – The winner receives one NaviComp upgrade for free.
