The Mando’ade had had its fair share of dealings with Czerka corp in its past, Taris, Telos to name but a few. Sometimes for the benefit of Mandalore, most often due to dispute but their actions across Bakura felt different. Blockading an entire planet appeared to the Mando’ades council as a bold move and the Duchess encouraged that this was investigated. Loaded with supplies, and heavily armored Mandalorians to secure the precious cargo, the cargo shuttle Windbreaker departed Mandalore without fanfare and at speed into the cold embrace of hyperspace.
Later, the Windbreaker arrived over the planet Bakura to a fierce firefight above the planet. Nondescript and staying on the fringes of battle whilst the fighters engaged more interesting targets, the Windbreaker found itself making landfall but our presence was known and so we found ourselves coming in hot to our landing zone, an old haulage depot where we’d made contact with a Mandalorian ally and his resistance cell. As we landed, the heavily armed Czerka troops had advanced on our LZ, the air was hot with blaster discharge and the stench of battle with shells exploding around the ship. Before the ship had docked, the doors were open and the Mandalorians engaged the armed Czerka troops, leaving the people of Bakura free to take the cargo whilst heavy weaponry erupted around the scene before them, threatening to destroy the loading bay around them.
The build:
The Figures.
From the off, I knew the Czerka corp would need some degree of continuity, thankfully the Lightyear figures certainly helped here and the off the shelf design really helps but I particularly like the ringleader I figbarfed here, with confidence oozing from him.
The Mandalorians take full advantage of the new pauldron piece as heavy armour. I envisage these to be an elite unit within the Mando’ade
The Windbreaker.
I’ve been a fan of Starship Troopers and the designs of the film since its release and since I built a microscale Dropship from the film, i’ve liked the idea of creating a minifigure scale rendition.
I designed the ship to look aged, over it’s history it's seen its fair share of heavy use. As a courier vessel by design, it’s cockpit has room for a single pilot with good visibility. The landing struts are splayed so the ship can carry a many varied cargo haul. Here, the container is a pressurised version for holding both the Mandaloirian and the supplies of the ship.
Building this was fun with studs going in most directions to accommodate strength to hold the cockpit and the container to the ships ‘backbone’.
The cargo depot in a nondescript trade area of Bakura.
Subtle detail decorates the actual loading bay, which has found itself the landing zone hot spot in this scene, Floor detail denotes landing instructions to the everyday hauler, ignored in these inclement times. Surrounding this, a simple raised walkway to allow access to the varying ships we would expect to see.
But this loading bay finds itself under fire, with damage from bombardment evident as we see the wall crumbling under the heavy weapon barrage. In front of this, i’ve used a net and 1x1 plate/tile construction to allow me to show the walkway undulating under the damage. I’m pleased with the outcome here.
Towering above, the suggestion of some form of dock control room is evident here, again I was aiming for this to be a nondescript building being a typical loading bay.
The base is also hinged which allows for various display opportunities and it meets the min 32x32x32 requirement.
And thats my Cat A for Episode II, i’m surprised I actually made anything at all for this Ep!
Nice entry! Some good details here, like the cobblestone net, and the tower. The "truck" ship is a little rough, but I really like the concept - I think it would be a cool challenge for you to do a version 2.0 (work on edges, and hard transitions especially).

Great stuff. You're always really good at giving things a big scale, making them feel like a real showstopper with lots of energy and action. My feedback would be that sometimes that means there's a bit too much going on, and all the details get lost in the business. Maybe balancing out spots of empty space with the more clustered bits of activity would help, having some spots where the eye can rest to make out the scene more clearly.
That ship owns, super Mandalorian, very utilitarian. Love it.
