[Solved] [Episode II - Cat B] Engagement Over Bakura

In the space above Bakura, a dramatic battle rages. Led by the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser Vengeance, the New Republic's Western Reaches Fleet charges into the Czerka Corporation's blockade of the peaceful planet. Using its starboard quad laser cannons, the New Republic vessel engages the well armoured Czerka ship, the CCS Indominatable and its escorts, a modified GR 55 transport and a Vakbeor-class frigate.

The Ships

The New Republic fleet consists of the MCC175 Class Carrier Vengeance, and her two escorts, a Rebel Assault Frigate MkI, the Repercussor and the CR90 Corvette Bantha. The flagship Vengeance begun her career as a cargo ship, constructed by the Mon Cala shipyards prior to the Galactic Civil War. Upon the event of conflict, she was christened into service as an auxiliary vessel, assisting in the evacuation of Yavin after the destruction of the death star. Prior to the Battle of Endor, the ship underwent upgrades to its shields, fire-control system and hyperdrive, as well as its energy generation systems in order to install two sets of heavy quad-laser cannons in the fore section, and two hyperspeed anti-starfighter missile launchers behind the conning tower. The cargo hold was converted into a hangar space and the 800-metre long vessel was relaunched as an assault ship. Upon the creation of the New Republic, it was assigned to the newly formed Western Reaches Fleet, based near the Endor system.

The Czerka Corporation Fleet consists of the converted ancillary ship CSS Indominatable, and two escorts, a GR 55 transport and a Vakebor Class frigate, uncommissioned to evade New Republic restrictions on the size of private entities battle fleets. The Indominatable begun its career as an aviation support vessel for the Empire, where it carried out maintenance of TIE Fighter craft, with strong shields enabling it to remain deployed alongside Imperial Star Destroyers on long missions. It was acquired by Czerka after the fall of the Empire, where it was upgraded with ion cannons and proton-torpedo launchers along its hull. It was deployed to Bakura in order to enforce the illegal blockade of the planet.
