Description: Denon is an ancient ecumenopolis, second only to Coruscant. Situated on the crossroads of the Corellian Run and the Hydian Way trade routes, Denon grew its wealth from galactic trade. Its people have a strong cultural identity and it is reflected not only in their way of life but the way the planetwide city has been planned and maintained. During the days of the High Republic, shipbuilding corporation Haelos Star Yards established Denon as its corporate headquarters and entered a symbiotic relationship with the planet and its people. During the Empire, both came under control of Imperial regional governors and as a result Denonians opted independence when offered to join the New Republic.
