I'm making this topic to discuss the current strength of the Imperial remnants in Factions. Hoping to compile our discussion into an entry to the lore codex.
Points of interest
- Imperial Consortium's fleet - ship numbers and types, places of deployment.
- Ground vehicles and armor - what does TIC use for it's ground operations? Are many AT-AT's still in use, or is older equipment leveraged more due to dwindling supplies? Which worlds provide the means to build and repair TIC's arsenal of destruction?
- Troops - how do Imperial remnants deploy their infantry? Are there more stormtroopers or regular troopers from the imperial army? How effective is their armor? Which special weapons do they take to the field? How do commanders deal with a lack of supplies and support?
@rocketboy Yeah, I would wager TIC isn't exactly on good terms with the republic. So between the "legal" remnants maybe ten thousand? That includes cargo vessels and retrofitted civilian craft, droid lane barges and contractors. The empire would have had hundreds of thousands.
@simulterious I would be happy to help with the visual guide however I can. Whilst I am not the best editor, I would be happy to contribute to written sections if help is needed.
I would actually expect TIC to use basically everything they were able to get a hand on. Of course a part of the trooptransports/ groundvehicles could be the trooptransports seen in the mandalorian, but a large portion of the vehicles TIC has access to would also consist of clone wars era vehicles and military assets used by smugglers/pirates/ mercenaries. As TIC doesn’t really has access to any shipyards or factories for military vehicles, but they still have access to parts of the industry in their sphere oc influence, they could also be hiring mercenaries/pirates as hired muscle.
@simulterious If you are okay with using a model from another designer, here is one: https://www.brickvault.toys/en-au/collections/space-wars/products/imperial-transport-minifig-scale
