Adonis Prynn is always aware of more than he lets on, with a twinkle in his eye. His cultured, gracious, grandfatherly demeanor belays the truth of his identity; he is no mere archivist, but a principal broker for the Nimbus Network, a secretive information matrix serving the independent interests of the galaxy. Adonis has put together an eclectic crew to accomplish missions from his starliner, the Silver Starmark.

Cambry Owens and V3-RN ("Verne") are an odd duo, a socially awkward bounty hunter and his talkative, upper-class accented Astromech droid. Cambry has been all sorts of things without ever really belonging anywhere—the consequences of a chaotic upbringing and the perpetual drifting he's done since. He is always looking for something to cling to—a gang, a people, or a leader he feels good about following. Lately, he has found that in Adonis Prynn.

His droid companion is a surprise to most: a vocoder-equipped astromech who has replaced its primary language of binary with frequently-florid sarcasm. The two form a strong team, though they lack a really convictional moral core.

A savvy and clever socialite from Cantonica, Harper Caale has traded a comfortable life in her father's compound for one of adventure and delighted trouble-making. Ever the contrarian, the resourceful young woman might be a bit too confident that she can find a solution to any problem, but so far, she's right.
