Infantry

The bulk of the New Republic's ground forces are comprised of its basic infantry. These troops are comprised of both professional soldiers and well-trained reservists, many of whom are former Rebel Alliance soldiers. Millions of New Republic soldiers are stationed throughout the Galaxy, where they also form the standing armies of many NR member-worlds. Infantry soldiers wear standard New Republic combat gear and are skilled in land combat, gunnery and shock attacks.

New Republic Rangers

The New Republic Rangers are the special-forces branch of the New Republic military. Operating often in small teams or even alone, they are highly trained in reconnaissance and retrieval missions. They carry light infantry gear, as well as modified or special-purpose weaponry.

Special Units

2nd Generation New Republic Starhawk Command Shocktrooper: deployed upon capital ships of the New Republic Navy's Starhawk Command, these troops are the most elite troops within the New Republic. They are skilled at penetrating enemy positions and using rapid shock attacks to launch atmospheric assaults. These troops carry heavy blaster weapons, and are equipped with armour and hi-tech helmets and often carry jetpacks.

New Republic Ceremonial Uniform: this infantryman wears the ceremonial uniform of the New Republic Army. This ceremonial uniform has been adopted by many different units, especially in the Core Worlds.

New Republic Intelligence Officer: these soldiers are part of the intelligence division of the New Republic Army. They specialise in operating electronic and signal surveillance equipment, and embed within fighting units.
