During the galactic civil war, an imperial ace pilot turned out to be a traitor, leaking imperial intel to the rebel alliance and contraband activities were the least of his crimes. Once his cover was blown, the pilot escaped in his TIE Fighter and crashed on the planet of Belnar. During his escape he killed a friend of back then “General” Cerato who has been seeking him out ever since to avenge his friend. Now, with the invasion of Belnar, Grand Moff Cerato has requested the Empress to finally resolve this rather personal matter of his. The Empress in return tasked Moff Ashlon with searching for the whereabouts of the traitor. Ashlon and his squad decided to scout the swamps on their speederbikes and so they did for days. To no success. Not only were they tired of seeing the endless swamp and nothing else, while constantly dodging attacks of the planet’s insects. They were also running out of fuel canisters which they had to have enough of to manage to make it all the way back to the base on their speeders.
On the 30th rotation when the fuel has almost been depleted, Ashlon orders his troopers to head back to base. He cannot believe to have failed the mission and thereby the Empress herself. In frustration he throws a rock into the distance but instead of the usual water splash he hears the rock bounce off something metallic. As he turns around and looks into the distance he sees a silhouette of a familiar star craft. A crashed TIE Fighter lies in front of him. He comes closer and inspects the model number of the craft, and yes, it is the same serial number of the fighter as the one the traitor pilot flew during his escape. Content with his discovery, Ashlon contacts the Empress to let her know the location of the traitor’s starship so that the nearby towns can be searched to find Cerato’s old foe.
