[Flashback LTC] Scarif's Salvation: Reclaiming Hope from the Abyss

In the aftermath of the destruction caused by the Rebel assault on Scarif, the once-pristine tropical planet had been left in ruins. The Empire, reeling from the loss of the Death Star and the growing Rebel threat, sought a new location to establish a secure base. Scarif, despite its devastation, still held valuable resources and strategic significance, making it an ideal candidate.

A group of Imperial officers, led by Lieutenant Halcor, arrived on Scarif to assess the feasibility of rebuilding. As they ventured over the few remains of the Imperial facility, they were met with scattered wreckage and overgrown foliage and a crater that stretched miles in distance. The sight was a haunting reminder of the fateful battle that had taken place. After surveying the damage, it was soon decided that there was no chance of rebuilding and that the team should move to the southern hemisphere, where the surface still remained intact, although with the shockwaves from the explosion, they were hardly likely to be in good shape either. There wasn't much but it was salvageable and therefore it worked for what the empire had planned. As Halcor finished his transmission with his superiors above the surface, he gazed off into the over the only small sea that was left, Scarif would resurface and become an imperial stronghold once more. 

This story is linked to my character Lorn Halcor who has been in charge of the events of Project Orisa, a storyline that I will continue to develop over the coming months. Here are my previous entires with him:
