Yub nub, it was a good summer evening! Wozzie sat on a log, roasting a marshmallow and enjoying the company of his two best friends - his wife Nuckie and his oldest companion, Tokkat. Wozzie and Nuckie had only recently been married, but Tokkat's commitments to the Freedom Fighters had kept him away. At the first opportunity, he had come back to congratulate them. It was Tokkat's idea to come out camping and roast the marshmallows. They had done this many times together since they were little woklings - now Wozzie and Nuckie were expecteing a wokling of their own. Oh, how the years pass by!
But they were good years, with more good years hopefully on the horizon. Wozzie often missed his friend, but knew that it was because of the sacrifices that he, and those like him, made that he and Nuckie were able to stay safely in their homes and raise their family.
As he stared into the fire, careful not to let his marshmallow burn, he took in the beauty of the summer night around him. The stars, the firelight, his wife's furry face. Yub nub, it was a beautiful night!
