Trin-Yan Kaster, a former student of Grand Master Luke Skywalker, returns home to Bastion after sensing a disturbance in The Force. Leaving the path of the Jedi behind, Kaster seeks to forge a new path in the Pentastar Alignment and eliminate the dark forces that have taken root in the Faction's governing body. He proceeds to discuss matters with his father, Moff Kaster, before his meeting with Grand Moff Ardus Kaine and select members of the Chamber of Order.
"It is good to see you too father," Trin-Yan said softly with a slight smile.
"I didn't expect to see you back here," his father replied, "Well, at least not this soon."
Trin-Yan gave a slight nod, "Neither did I." His gaze directed itself to a busy skyline, "You picked a nice spot father. It's been a while since I've seen Bastion," he paused and then smirked after noting the backed up traffic along the horizon, "It's gotten busier."
The Moff began walking and gave a slight motion with his hand signaling his son to follow, "It most definitely has. All of this is due to the policies set into action by the Chamber of Order," the elder Kaster stopped suddenly and directed his gaze at his son, "Something that you deem to be... compromised by agents of The Dark Side."
Trin-Yan, sensing his father's doubt, knew he would have to provide substantial evidence to prove his point to those in the Chamber of Order.
"I would really like to believe you son, but this council has provided stability to the systems under its jurisdiction for nearly a decade now. Bringing this up in the courts would only cause unnecessary turmoil."
Trin-Yan, in a moment of desperation, interrupted his father, "Then get me an audience with the Grand Moff alone. That will help mitigate controversy"
His father laughed, "They would not let you within 500 feet of the Grand Moff alone. They still consider you an agent of the New Republic."
"Father please. You know it to be true. I know you know of the former Inquisitors that sit in on the Council."
"Their ability to use the Force is an asset to the Alignment, and their methods have helped create a stronger Pentastar Alignment"
"And my ability is not?" Both Kasters stood in silence until it was broken by the younger, "Allow me to present my case to the council. I know you do not condone of some of the methods the InQuestors use to advance their agenda despite being an... asset. I have a feeling there is something darker behind all of this."
"Say, you are right son, what then. What is the next course of action? As far as I'm aware you are greatly outnumbered. The InQuestors would not take their removal from the Chamber lightly" In this moment an idea flashed in the mind of Trin-Yan. Warriors who serve neither the light or the dark but the will of the force itself. Was that who he really was or what he imagined himself to be.Â
"You did not leave the order on your own. The Force guided you in your departure," This thought flowed through Trin-Yan's head in an attempt to justify his forsaking of the Jedi. In the midst of this thought, the familiar voice of his father proceed to break it,
"I will see what I can do about getting you an audience son... But first we need to get you something to wear besides those robes."

Yes yes yes. Great little scene, the tree and the other passerby really sell it. I love the story!

That tree is nicely detailed, as is the pavement - sometimes a simple design just works perfectly.
@rocketboy Thanks man! I don't think I'm the best storyteller so I'm glad you liked it!
Simple yet effective build. Nice to see a more everyday side of the SW universe. I'm just missing a SWy mailbox on the corner. 😉
