[Solved] (NJO) (Itacil) Lesson IV: Combat

Itacil woke up with ice cold feet and a stuffy nose.  It was the middle of the night. He quietly snuck out of his room, goosebumps covering his skin.  His way bathed by the light of the full moon, he walked out onto one of the monastery’s training terraces to make himself sneeze - it was a particular quirk of his; he loved to sneeze and had his own technique to force it.  

After quietly doing so, he sat down at the edge of the terrace. A large section of the ancient stone floor was covered in moss, and Itacil gently sat in the midst of it.  Working his fingers into the moss, he strove to build a connection with Ator Hollos and its nature. As he meditated, his senses began to clear and his body and mind began to wake. His tentative link to the Force supplied a small bit of heat - just enough to stave off the nighttime chill.

Itacil meditated in the moonlight for some time.  He remained motionless, breathing deeply in rhythmic patterns.  He methodically focused on each part of his body: his spine, ribs and inner organs, each in turn.  After a while, Itacil rose and began to move around the terrace,activating his hips and spine in an almost animalistic way.  To an outside observer, it might seem unnatural, but for him it was as normal as breathing. 

“You dance?” a sleepy, rough voice asked.  

Itacil turned with a start towards the noise, as a silhouette appeared from the shadows of the terrace entrance.

"Not so different from fighting, right? I've been to a lot of places, met a lot of people; the best fighters, the best dancers...they've got a lot in common." the voice continued talking and moving closer, to finally have Jun emerging from the shadows into the star embedded night sky of Ator Hollos. He was walking slowly and rubbing his eyes, trying to wake up.

Itacil responded „it is a family tradition and the only thing that helps me concentrate. When I move the only thing I think about is the here and now, nothing else matters in that moment” ''As it should be, or at least that’s what the Jedi are preaching..” Jun responded with a smirk on his sleepy face.  

“Have the others seen you do this? "Sure, it's gonna throw people off at first, but let them get over it. If this is what helps you concentrate and makes you a better fighter, then I say lean into your strengths. Let’s try it out, you’re already awake and I'm still half asleep, the chances are even” the Jedi Master proposed while stepping out onto the terrace.
