Pre-Invasion Logistics

“I don’t see it Fleen, you better check the data pad and make sure we’re in the right place. We’re looking for a container of Clone Wars era armour. Desert variant.”

Fleen scanned the inventory list for Unit 8. “That’s a pretty strange request. You think Major Varless is getting nostalgic in his old age?” He joked.

“The Major’s no fool. If he wants these dusty old armour sets then he probably has his reasons.”

“Well, where’s the shipping destination?” Fleen asked.

“Pre-invasion staging area” Paxton said irritably.

Fleen decided to drop the topic.

“Looks like there’s only one here. The rest are over in Unit L-19.”

Paxton sighed. “Well go and get the one then.”

Fleen reluctantly pushed the crates in front out of the way. “Won’t they have to reconfigure these for the batch of troops lucky enough to wear them?” He remarked from the back of the unit.

“I get the impression comfort isn’t the number one priority for the invasion force.” Paxton said dryly.

“Ahh” Fleen realised. “They won’t be the first expendable soldiers to don this uniform.”
