Agamar. A barren rock of a planet, only desirable for its position in the intersection between the Braxant Run and the Celanon Spur. The little hospitability it had, had mostly been wiped out by orbital bombardments during a battle back in the Clone Wars. And yet, life lingers ever on. And life regenerates.

Fascinated by the process of biome regeneration, imperial ecologist Kera Nezik got permission to be stationed at the small Pentastar Alignment outpost on the planet to observe this process, and began recording the spread of life. What she found was several hotspots around which life seemed to flourish, totally isolated from one another, spread out seemingly at random. After months spent trying to find what was so special about these oases, she now believes she's got it. The one thing that seems to connect them all is the presence of a substance she's decided to call Kainium, to honour the Grand Moff. Kainium seems to act as an excellent fertiliser, though how exactly it helps, or where it comes from are questions needing further research.
