When the majority of your time is spent in the underbelly of society, you are exposed to some pretty nasty things. Work is stressful, from brutal bosses to bitter buyers, shootouts with smugglers and chasing corsairs. This job would’ve caused his hair to gray – if he weren’t already gray, or if he had any hair…
That’s why he decided to invest a lot of his money into his ship. It was practically his home at this point, spending most of his time in the machine, completing jobs and transporting goods. A good way to distract oneself – or even clear your mind – of the horrors of the underworld could be in the peace of a lovely home, and that is exactly what Grur did. Using the earnings from his jobs, he turned his ship into a home.
He didn’t consider himself an interior designer, but Grur was proud of what he accomplished. Taking the grays of the ship’s original interiors, he replaced them with a myriad of colors, rearranged the insides, and turned the place into an area that he could relax in.
Sectioning off the ship really allowed him to separate the space, he had a living room, a kitchen, everything he needed to live. And each of these spaces was decorated and redes –
His thoughts were interrupted.
“Captain, it seems your plant here is dying.” His crewmate and personal droid chided him.
“It’s okay Chip. Once I get us on route I’ll take a look.”
It wasn’t perfect, to keep up the space required a lot of effort. But, it was labor that was worth the effort. It allowed him to turn his house into a home.
