“The path is clear, and we have two more squads in and around the machinery room.”

A pair of Special Forces troopers greeted the sappers inside one of the maintenance tunnels that ran between several of the Central Authority’s bases on Tangrene. As part of a joint operation between three different remnants, an invasion was underway. It had been slow at first, with vital defense systems being quietly disabled, but this would be the start of a full planetary assault. Sappers from the Ciutric Hegemony were on the way to plant a bomb, not a sophisticated one, but an extremely destructive one nonetheless.
