It was hot on Euceron, that was the first thing Grail noticed. A fur collar and coat were ill suited for this type of environment. But he needed to look strong and intimidating, so he would keep the adornments on. The Admiral needed this to go well. The Great Armada was a rising power, but half of that power was a facade.

A facade built on the pretty words of their leaders, half empty promises, and claims to power too great for their grasp. Half their strength was the number of crews that had joined them, but those crews could only sit idle for so long before they suspected something. To come even close to the power that their leaders promised, he needed this alliance and trade to go well. It was naught but a stepping stone for their greater plans, but it would be a great help to secure a foothold within an Imperial Remnant such as the Maldrood.

Grail couldn’t read the man in front of him, the mask he wore blocked him from that. He was actually intimidating to say the least, his large cape and gloves set him apart. And his voice was modified by the mask he wore.

“I will be straight with you, what this is is not an alliance. It is a deal. We are not working together, you are working for us.”

Grail slowly blinked. He was straightforward.

“As long as the terms we originally agreed upon still stand, that will work for us.” It wasn’t the best, but they could work with this attitude. As long as they got their foothold, they would turn it into something great.

“We will continue to take your supplies and a few of you pirates may loiter in our territories. There are already enough of you despots that it will make little difference.”

Grail couldn’t tell if the man was putting up a strong front, trying to keep up the independent and strong image the Greater Maldrood Supremacy had built for themselves. It wasn’t doing much, it seemed like a desperate man trying to keep himself afloat.

“It is appreciated, we look forward to working for you.” It was an empty promise, and the Maldrood probably expected that. But the alliance wouldn’t fall apart until someone made a move against the other.

“Trooper, get to moving the cargo.”

The build itself.
