[Episode II - Q7 - Indu San - BSB] Controlled Escalation

The YX-2000 Auricle exited hyperspace not far from Indu San’s seat of government, the unmistakable green logo of Bryx emblazoned boldly across the ship’s hull. They were in Imperial territory now, whether or not the planet’s Congressional Council would like to admit it. It was here that the 204th Fighter Wing chose to rebuild their strength. An ally in New Republic Intelligence had passed along intel to suggest they weren’t alone. It’s believed Shadow Wing is operating as an auxiliary force of The Greater Maldrood, a ruthless imperial splinter faction based on Centares.

This was to be a defining moment for the Bureau. Their work up to this point largely took place in the shadows: corporate espionage, military sabotage - things of that nature. Their entrance into galactic geopolitics would not go unnoticed for long.

Commander Qa’van looked out the viewport with an intensity borne of experience. His mission directive was clear: to monitor and jam enemy transmissions coming from the surface. If the Bureau’s ground operatives were to succeed in “setting Indu San ablaze”, it was imperative that Imperial reinforcements not be called. For diplomatic reasons, the commander was asked to wait for the Imperials to engage their fighters before retaliating with overwhelming force. 

“Jamming has commenced” a voice called out to the bridge.

“Do we have visual of the airbase yet?” asked Commodore Jensen to no one in particular.

“Aural sensors are picking up 3 TIEs in Quadrant 19.” came the response.

“Very well” Commander Qa’van spoke calmly. “Deploy the fighters.”
