[Episode V – IR][O-12– Reytha – PK] No pain, no grain

Morgan Dainn thought back on his last conversation with Fia, it would be his last he realized now...

"Why grain?" Lt. Dainn had asked, but Lt. Fia Orvelle shook her head, "it's not the grain itself. It's the fact that the New Republic will have to act." The two Lieutenants sat in the uncomfortable common area of the Silo Transport, which Protectorate Authorities had impounded along with four similar ships a mere week ago, and Dainn could not say how pretty she looked in the improvised pirate outfit. 

"We are entering atmosphere in a minute, we should return to our stations..." Orvelle sighed, considering the sorry state of the ship.

"I will see you after we leave Reytha," Dainn grinned, "It's been ages since I left the Mining Guild to join the Empire, it'll be fun to fly an SK-4 again."

The Tie-fighters would arrive too late Dainn realized as New Republic Tanks appeared suddenly through the thick crops, "how had no one seen them approach!" He cursed right before their shots tore his ship in half.

As Dainn crashed to his death. His final thoughts were of Fia, of the things that was never said, and the things the two of them would never do, but at least he would die for the greater good, for the empire.
