Jani Pryce has not been home in over ten years.

But she hadn't expected to be alive this long, especially in her line of work.

Jani has spent half of her life as a scoundrel, traversing the Galactic Underworld and getting entangled in syndicates, piracy, and uprisings. While anyone in the Galaxy can be a problem, her primary nuisance was always stormtroopers. Her mercenary work usually involved high-profile Imperial targets, from Listehol, to Jedha, to Coruscant, to Jakku.

With the Empire gone, it was now time to return home to the place she grew up: Denon.

Jani was grateful to be alive this long. This gave her a new perspective on her life - she could have died anytime. From her earliest pirate excursion on Listehol, to the final battles against the Empire, she has cheated death. Reflecting on this in the turbolift of her childhood home, she decided wanted to live for another 25 years, and another, until old age would claim her.

But for that, she would have to settle down somewhere, and live the quiet life. Cestila, her partner and partner, was willing to join her.
Luckily, her home planet was on the come-up. It was the place to be in the post-Empire era. Independent from the new Galactic Government, wealthy from being showered in Credits by a revitalised Haelos Star Yards. Denon was the place to be.

Jani had a lot of catching up to do in her old neighbourhood of Tiebassen. Her apartment was a good start - a bit small for both her and Cestila, but enough for a temporary base of operations while she connects with old friends and establishes new acquaintances.

Jani had come home.
