The farmer sipped his mug of caf as he peered out across the landscape. The new farmhands should be arriving soon. He wouldn’t pay them much but he had a feeling that a couple of credits in the pocket would be seen as a welcome change to the usual quarter rations the Imperials were known to give out for a days work. The fields had been pretty quiet since the Company cleared out. There would normally be a hive of activity at this time of the morning - transports crammed full of labourers arriving, armed guards yelling orders and most importantly: crates of harvested flowers being loaded onto starships for sale offworld.
Ever since the Ultaarian militias had driven the Imperial Fruit Company from their world, the dire economic reality of Ultaar’s citizens came startlingly into focus. The sentients of Ultaar were by and large - quite poor. Due to agricultural exports making up such a large chunk of the economy, they relied on regular farmwork to feed their families. Militiamen had damaged many of the IFC facilities and the company took all their transports with them when they left. It was likely becoming clear to the militia leaders that whichever one of them seized power - would have a monumental task ahead of them. How does one economically revive a war torn planet on the brink of civil war?
When the IFC first put down stakes on the backwater planet, they did so with incredible brutality. Villagers were rounded up at random and put to work. Failure to comply wasn’t tolerated. Is this what it would take? The company’s corporate executives became very wealthy over the years. Now with their absence, the Bryx Sector’s industrialists may see the planet’s resources as ripe for the taking. If the Ultaarian leadership wishes to maintain control of their planet’s assets - they may require outside assistance to do so.
Can’t get enough of this build! Really love everything about it. The dark red is a great color, the fridge is awesome, the farmland and scarecrow is great.
This is such a cool build! Love the fridge, love the scare trooper!
I especially like the exterior, with the house, terrain and farmland boiled down to the essence to fit the small LTC dimensions.
The exterior is so unique and has such a nice structure. You absolutely nailed the Star Wars farm vibe! The crops being below the last layer of rock does give the landscaping a slightly odd appearance. Mirroring the other comments, that scare trooper is so cool!
As for the interior, no real critiques here! The rockwork is wonderful and that fridge is a work of art.
