Haelos sure has expensive tastes, Hayk thought to himself. Or, at least whomever had filed the paperwork allowing 'representatives' from Yurk Hargin's Droid Repair to live here seemed to be used to a life of luxury. Hayk figured he, and his co-workers, would make good use of this place. It definitely looked like a monument to decadence, much like the rest of the city-world, but Denon had a much warmer and homlier look to it, despite the towering monoliths that glistened in the morning sun. At least this district of the city was a stark contrast to the grey metal of Coruscant. Looking out the window, one could actually see the green of the municipal park, and beyond, peeking through the trees, the eye could catch the shimmer of water. The sight reminded him of the view from the top of the western mountain on the edge of Beslehr. Except this mountain was made of glass and durasteel.
Still, despite being at least double the size of his apartment back on Celanon, his new accommodations felt quaint and cozy in a way. It helped that the kitchen came fully stocked with everything a man could need to make a good homemade ronto wrap. What more could a man need?
Hayk had also heard rumour that Snorple had managed to buy a storefront in a busier district nearby.
That'll make travel between Denon and Celanon a lot faster on some occasions, he thought as he set the table for lunch. He found it funny how a species like the Smorks had access to one of the most useful technologies in the galaxy --or dangerous, in the wrong hands-- and yet, somehow, it was as much a secret to everyone else in the galaxy as a tree falling in the woods on Endor was to a bartender on Coruscant. Quite frankly, Hayk was surprised that he and his friends were the few outsiders that knew about the Smork Magic-Science, as they called technology. The technology to walk through a door, and step out on the other side of the galaxy... While the technology was harmless in the hands of the Smorks, as well as those they trusted with their secret, Hayk shuddered at the passing thought of what other groups in the galaxy could do with such knowledge.
*Note: I had been hoping to do a build of Snorple's workshop for the LTC, but I did not have time to get another build done. So, instead, here is a little story snippet instead.*
My favourite greeble of this build:
Nice little entry - but the interior door on the right is 'chef's kiss'
