[L14 - Dalastine] Dalastine Peat Processing Plant

There are few places as dull as rural Dalastine, not that there's really any urban parts in existence. One of the few burgeoning industries is the harvesting of peat, used in the production of liquors and - less glamorously - refined biofuels. Given the unstable surface of the planet that supports this industry, small processing plants are spread out on raised duracrete platforms. Peat, and the flax-like plant that flourishes in it, is brought to the platform via small skiffs, where it is refined in large mechanical graters. It flows through a series of fermenting vats, where enzymes break the material down into a pumpable pulp. Once ready, it's moved off the platform in larger repulsor-barges and taken to larger breweries, in Dalastine's cities or offworld.
