Rutanian shipping tycoon Glonatan “Big Glonny” Hapenar announced today that he has donated a freighter for the exclusive use of the Ashlon Empire. The Empire took receipt of the freighter in a ceremony on Terminus earlier today. Hapenar, chairman of the Hydian Consolidated freight conglomerate, told HNN that he wanted to support the Empire’s efforts to establish peace and prosperity in the sector.
“It’s simple: law and order are good for business. The Republic talks a big game but I don’t see them out here protecting my ships from pirates. Like my grandma used to say — they’re all hat and no nerf. They may prove me wrong in future, but right now, Ashlon is here, and helping.”
Ashlon Empire Sub-Prefect Alline Teex welcomed the donation. “Chief Hapenar is a pillar of the Rutanian business community. We applaud his public recognition of our commitment to enforcing safety for local citizens and corporations. We will continue to act decisively in systems the Republic has failed and forgotten.”
Hapenar deflected suggestions that the donation would bring preferential treatment from Imperial officials. “I’m not asking for any favours. But of course, we all remember our friends,” he said.
According to a media release issued by Hydian Consolidated, the supplied freighter is the Fruits of Industry, a Kubrai Burdensong-3 class with capacity for extra-large freight containers and ride-along auxiliary cargo tugs. The freighter and a crew of 27 will be provided on an indefinitely-renewing, zero-credit lease basis, and the ship will continue to display Hydian Consolidated’s famous “Golden Cresh” logo. At dispatch time the company was trading up 5.2% on the news, reversing recent falls from stiff competition with other carriers including ARGO-Rothana and Eriadan Express.

I like the containers. The blue with the ice planet logo is a highlight.
What's missing for me is some sort of scale or mentioning of dimensions in the text. More images in the submission would have helped. You could still add them though.
I also find the text intriguing.
It's interesting, how the power struggle quickly shifted the Rebels into being the protectors of the core, while just a few months ago they acted from the edges of the galaxy. The remnants kinda swapped position with the - now -New Republic 🤭

Love seeing these type of freighters, I always love how they are depicted by artists. There are so many ways to go about showing how these freighters carry cargo, and each depiction is very interesting. Great work!
