The Mataou Episode III: Mataou's best slushy or how to make ice in the desert

Step 1: Build a one foot deep basin with a sufficient surface area.
Step 2: Buy water from your local moisture farmers.
Step 3: Pour the water into the ice pool. In cold nights a thin layer of ice will freeze on top of the water.
Step 4: Harvest the ice in the morning.
Step 5: Store your ice in the 50 foot deep underground storage room of your traditional Mataou ice house. Windcatchers and water cooling help to keep the temperaturs low all around the year.
Step 6: When the day has come, crush the ice and enrich with a sweetener and dye (non poisonous!) and add your favorite flavoring.
Step 7: Enjoy Mataou's best slushy with your friends at your favorite ice cream parlor!

Of course you could use a simple slushy machine or ice cream maker, refrigeration devices and solar reflectors and stuff like that, but that would be too mundane, wouldn't it?

[I made an error with the cheese slopes, using two red ones instead of one red and one tan one but when I noticed it, it was already too late as the walls are massive and I couldn't change it anymore.]
