When the urban heat of Rutan becomes unbearable, or when he has some business to be done away from prying eyes, shipping tycoon Glonatan Hapenar retreats to his summer villa on Atravis.

The villa floats above the brilliant azure sea, held aloft by powerful repulsorlifts. White decks of vintage Alderaan marble glint in the sun as waterfalls spill from its sparkling pools. Palms sway gently above the promenades and pool decks, all with sweeping views of the endless horizon.

Inside, cantilevered lounges seem to hang in midair, and every room opens to the sea with retractable walls. Two large landing pads hold visitors’ yachts and shuttles, while soft bioluminescent lighting at night makes the villa feel as though it drifts through the stars.

Hunting is a favourite pastime of Hapenar. Guests often embark on undersea safaris, diving in submersibles to hunt the abyssal krayfin—massive, electric eel-like leviathans—and the deadly squalidons, razor-toothed predators that hunt in packs. Victorious hunters return to celebrate on the terraces, waterfalls thundering around them as the ocean stretches out below.
