[LTC][P17 - Farstine - FZ] Cinder Station

Imperial Era - 4 ABY

"Captain Duvat. You, and a handful of others unknown to you, have been selected for a particular honor."

With the death of the Emperor and the destruction of the Second Death Star over Endor, the Empire launched Operation: Cinder. The Imperial Navy aimed their weapons platforms and satellites towards Naboo, determined to destroy the Emperor's home planet before the Rebellion could capture and free it. The battle group assembled near Farstine as Captain Lerr Duvat completes his final inspection rounds of Cinder Station. The station would serve as the command platform for the orbital strike, and the crew races to complete their final tweaks before the attack. The Emperor specifically commissioned a statue of himself built and placed on the observation deck to view the bombardment. It appears that he failed to foresee the issues mouse droids can cause, though.

Present Day - 6 ABY

"I really hate to do this, Carm. You didn't think you could skim from the take and I wouldn't notice?"

Following the Rebellion's victory in the Defense of Naboo, the New Republic had defeated the Imperial threat to the planet and established a presence there. Enterprising pirates and scavengers found a bounty of valuable wreckage in orbit, with captain Drego Karsk claiming the prized jewel. Cinder Station had been badly damaged in the fighting, but a mobile battle station like this could be the perfect base of operations for his pirate crew. Moving his new prize, along with his pirate fleet to Farstine, they've been able to raid the lucrative shipping routes to the Core Worlds with impunity.

Rumor has it that Drego maintains a shadow control over the Shipsters Union, and the fact that his pirate crew only steals from non-union cargo freighters has given a lot of weight to the theory. Regardless, a strong relationship with such an influential organization has made Drego and his pirates an ignored thorn in the side of the New Republic and freed planets in the sector. 

Carm Syndor, the newest member of Drego's crew, returns from his most recent raid of the shipping lanes. Along with his reprogrammed B2 Battle Droid Z3-K3, he brings credits, ship parts, valuable machinery and even Nelvaani cybernetics. Drego, a naturally suspicious leader, accuses Carm of pocketing more than his fair share of the loot of his raids, and his Shistavanen bodyguard Lukar is all too eager to remind the young criminal of his place in the galaxy...
