As soon as the Battle of Jakku concluded, HoloNet channels broadcast the end of the Empire to all reaches of the Galaxy. (see Galactic Civil War LJ-00 - Battle of Jakku) Denon received the news better than many mid-rim worlds with a strong Imperial presence.
The ruling planetary governor (see Imperial Moffs DN-78 - Arno Stellin) resigned and fled with his private army, avoiding both New Republic forces and Imperial remnants. By popular vote, the citizens of Denon vote to not join the New Republic and remain a sovereign neutral system.
Representatives of Haelos Star Yards, the Denonian aristrocratic families (see Noble Houses LK-12 - Triad), and leaders of local Imperial remnants gathered at Jamshid Court at the HSY planetary headquarters (see Star Systems N-13.2 - Denon - Var Haelos) to sign the Galactic Concordance. With the Imperial monopoly relinquished, Haelos Star Yards resumed full control of their facilities, no longer burdened by strict Imperial or New Republic regulation.

The people of Denon share a deep relationship with their city-planet, ripe with culture and history. Some say their allegiance to Haelos Star Yards comes second, the rest are of the opinion that Denon and the shipwright corporation is one.
The symbiotic relationship between HSY and Denon has ensured survival and prosperity during the sundown years of the Republic and the subsequent Empire. When the newly formed New Republic defeated the Empire at the Battle of Jakku, Denon decided not to join the new government.
Devonian's did not need yet another foreign power to rule over them, no matter how tempting the New Republic's benefits may seem.
But freedom comes at a price.
The Empire is no longer around to protect trade routes. Its remnants are more keen on fighting each other than the New Republic. Lawlessness has increased, as the Galactic Underworld is not fazed by the new government. Pirate activity has increased tenfold, and fringe resistance group on the remains of Jedha pose a sizeable threat.
Denon and Haelos Star Yards in their neutrality, are unprotected. To any unaffiliated system or corporation, this is a problem.
For HSY, it is just another challenge to overcome.
The Menâr Library in Var-Haelos holds schematics for a prototype bomber craft produced for the Imperial Navy under its military monopoly over HSY. Using its original framework with recently developed components, the Kaksi-2 and Nejlä-4 orbital production facilities assembled a next-generation state of the art heavy starfighter-bomber hybrid.
The IN-2 Didomak Bomber became the face of HSY security.
Built during an unofficial HSY faction speed build challenge call on the evening of July 29. First version of this spacecraft was built in about one and half hours, primary goal was to build a not-so microscale starfighter for the future Fleets update, and to utilise the Exo Force spikes as a seed part. The resulting build was colourless and extremely fragile - it even fell apart during the night.
The next morning was spent rebuilding the starfighter, strengthening the internals and adding colour - the classic HSY orange (what few pieces I had in that colour)
The rest of the day was spent brainstorming starfighter lore with HSY faction leader Simulterious, and strategising Fleets gameplay (rather, what little we know of it)
"Trust the vision"
