History has left its mark on Denon, a planet shaped by millennia of civilization. Among its legendary relics, the Chinvat arch was long thought to be myth, lost to the sands of time.
Three centuries ago, this mythical gateway was rediscovered, buried beneath one of the planet's many serene parks. Legend has it that a member of the Haelos dynasty, or perhaps even the enigmatic Haelos himself, was strolling through the park when he paused, pointed towards the ground, and uttered a single word: "Dig."
Following this cryptic command, the arch was unearthed, reemerging into the light of day.
Legend has it that only the truly deserving may pass beneath the Chinvat arch. Those deemed unworthy face a terrible fate: a fatal illness or even a descent into the underworld.
By a twist of fate or divine design, this ancient gateway stands before the Shipwright Academy, where the galaxy's brightest engineering minds are forged. It serves as a crucial rite of passage for aspiring shipwrights. Each acolyte, sponsored by a master flight engineer, must first prove their worthiness by passing under the arch before embarking on their rigorous five-year apprenticeship.
And even after years of arduous study and countless examinations, a newly qualified shipwright must once more face the Chinvat arch. Only then, having demonstrated continued worthiness, can they join the hallowed ranks of the Haelos Star Yards.
holy crap those statues are cool!
