Dubbed "The Santana" after an affluent Denonian playwright, this freighter is a common sight around the orbital facilities of Haelos Star Yards despite being the only on of its make. This workhorse is a testament to the latest innovations of HSY: vehicles larger than starfighters possessing interceptor-like agility while having dense weight and space-efficient interiors ideal for cargo.Extensive droid systems embedded in the SpG-08's mainframe allow the vessel to function completely on autopilot despite a minimum crew of two. "The Santana" remains to this day the most useful light freighter for quick, speedy express haulage.
A TRIBUTE TO HAELOSDesigned by a mysterious artisan known as "The Goose," who briefly worked in the upper echelon of HSY designers, the designated SpG-08 echoes the long-forgotten orginal HSY design language, namely the quadruple engines of Haelos's personal craft "The Mirrorhelm." Rumours have it that Haelos may have apprenticed The Goose during his eons away from the public eye...
DENONIAN INTERIOR DESIGNEmulating the interior architectural design of Denonian residential spaces, the cargo holds of the SpG-08 freighter are designed to efficiently maximize space to pack as much cargo as possible. This makes this one of as kind ship more efficient for commercial haulage than two to three standard bulk freighters.
TEAL RACER To test the speed and agility of this freghter in non-cargo scenarios, an Ord Vaxal-based racecraft development group affiliated with HSY entered The Santana in the Major Hybrid Racing League's Devil Classic in the Aquaris circuit alongside a prototype TS-23 Simurgh starfighter called the Cerulean Phoenix.
