[P15 - Kalarba - PK] Fortress

Kalarba’s orbiting Golan platforms were a relatively new addition to the planet's defenses. They had been installed, along with a planetary shield, by Moff Leon Erask in order to foster a sense of security and protection among the local population after an attack on nearby Bannistar Station was carried out by rebels during the Galactic Civil War. Now they served to deter the New Republic as it waged war on any remnants of the Galactic Empire.

Kuinn Reimon was one of the five thousand men who called Station Tau-9 home. The number had been lower, but recent events prompted Rear Admiral Matthaios Otten to reassign full crews to each of Kalarba’s orbital stations. As Tau-9’s supply master, Kuinn had been tasked with clearing out the last few crew quarters, which had been used as auxiliary storage since the death of Palpatine. Everything had changed after Endor, and only now were things starting to return to normal. Tourism was up in the sector, for the first time since the Battle of Yavin, and recruitment was up too, or so Kuinn had been told. Now all the Protectorate needed was a proper destroyer squadron and everything would be as it once was.
