I am chief heavy ordinance vehicle technician Haveloch Calder of the Imperial Remnant of Kalarba. My family has served the galaxy for generations since a little after the Great Hyperspace War. Our loyalty and duty is our pride. With that little intro out of the way, my duties are to maintain what's left of this remnant of my once glorious Empire's vehicles and armor. We don't have much and it is why my duty is of importance. Without these vehicles and if left in poor condition, the percentage of our survival would diminish greatly. Aye, we have a navy to protect this planet in orbit, but what's also important are the men and women that maintain order on the surface. What's to protect them? How can damaged or poorly maintained vehicles do such if not take care of?
That is why I, and several others exist; because that is our job. I report to Kalarba command weekly of the condition of our vehicles and what is fit for service for our men. Whether is be for operations need elsewhere or on the planet. In recent events, I have been tasked with the maintenance of vehicles raided or returned to our Imperial hands thanks to the raids of another branch. I am thankful for these men that bring me more work to strengthen our mechanized inventory.
For example, this last week we have received a unit of four TX-130Ts into our family. These saber class assault tanks are deadly vehicles with their origin dating back to the Clone Wars. Where they found these four thankfully brings no concern to me as they were well kept in storage within an abandoned facility of no importance now. Some dust yes, but that doesn't equal to any sort of maintenance compares to what we have working on currently in our garages.
These tanks are fit for service already as I reported to my senior, bringing some relief to him.
For the Empire.
