“I’m sure you’ve heard the rumors…” the dry navy officer declared, “…But I assure you, they are grossly exaggerated.” Lenric preferred data to gossip, “I am sure the Empire is as strong tomorrow, as it was yesterday.” he replied.
The dry officer’s stayed stern, as he turned on a hologram of Hosk Station. “Good.”
“Supporting Life on this husk of Alderanian engineering has been expensive, the old maintenance droids are in disrepair and hiring maintenance crew has affected profits…”
His brow furrowed even deeper, “…not to mention the accidents.”
The hologram showed Lenric several compromised points of the space station.
“Hosk has been a very profitable asset, your empire wants you to keep it that way.”
The hologram switched to show an old maintenance droid.
“You and your team need to fix these, or replace them. You have precious little time, as every rotation means bleeding money that should be spent killing the rebellion.”
He now showed Lenric the roster of his team, “this is your team, I suggest you focus on delivering results, Hosk station has plenty of recreational facilities, but I hope your core world habits have been left behind.”
He stood up straight, and handed the datapad to Lenric, “out here we work hard for our empire.”
Lenric nodded, “Good.” The officer said, “A droid will show you to the engineering ward, if you have any questions address them to the droid.”
The droid in the hologram, and B-0 (the droid hovering) is reused from previous entries.
As always, your presentation knocks it out of the park. The parts usage is simple yet effective. I like the spin on Imperial architecture with colour coded rooms.
