GR-75 Corellian Gunship

The GR-75 Corellian gunship, a battlefield retrofit of the widely used transport vessel, received renewed attention during ARGO’s early fleet modernization efforts. Most GR-75 gunships had fallen into disrepair by the era of the New Republic. One such vessel was officially registered to ARGO Transit and repainted in the company’s signature orange and yellow livery. This particular ship was tailored for two primary roles: transporting prominent merchants and business executives to important meetings across the galaxy, and, in rare cases, escorting high-value cargo fleets through dangerous regions of space. It was outfitted with reinforced armor plating, updated targeting computers, and modular hardpoints supporting a pair of heavy twin laser cannons and three standard laser cannons. Uniquely, it featured four luxurious escape pods—each equipped to provide comfort and security for its high- profile passengers in the event of an emergency. Despite its age, the ship boasted one of the fastest sublight engines in the fleet and could easily outrun many newer starships, making it both a prestigious and practical choice for ARGO Transit’s more sensitive operations.
