The Deep Space Mining Vessel; ARCSS Exavis

The ARGO-Rothana Commercial Starship (ARCSS) Exavis was a repurposed Aggressor-class destroyer, originally built for the Empire in the waning years of the Galactic Civil War but never deployed before the regime’s collapse. Left to sit in a Rothana Heavy Engineering shipyard for years, the vessel was acquired by Argo Industries as part of its deep-space mining initiative. Officially, the Exavis was undergoing extensive retrofitting to serve as a mobile mining platform, with enhanced cargo bays, reinforced hull plating, and specialized processing equipment. However, beneath its industrial facade, much of its formidable weapons systems remainedintact, making it the flagship of the newly unified Argo-Rothana security forces. Armed with powerful turbolasers and state-of- the-art defenses, the Exavis was more than capable of protecting Argo’s growing interests in the Outer Rim, standing as a silent deterrent to pirates, rival corporations, and any force that dared challenge the new corporate alliance.

Powerful Prototype

The two powerful, fire-linked cannons once fixed to the forward hull of the destroyer—designed to unleash a devastating ion pulse followed by a spiraling plasma shot—had been removed during the vessel's retrofitting. In their place, engineers installed a prototype industrial-class Q17 Super-Tractor Beam Cannon, developed by Phylon Transport. Originally designed for large-scale asteroid extraction and orbital hauling, the Q17 was capable of locking onto and drawing in massive targets with exceptional precision. Though marketed for mining use, its immense power made it a formidable asset in any confrontation. Notably, the Exavis retained its secondary lower cannon—a large, fixed-emplacement system embedded in the underbelly of the ship. Though operational, its classification and true function were kept tightly under wraps, raising quiet speculation among industry insiders and rival factions alike.

Silent Running

It was standard procedure for the AICSS Exavis to power down all non-essential systems, leaving only critical life support and auxiliary power online. This low- energy state allowed the vessel to drift silently in deep space, effectively masking its signature from long-range scans. Originally a tactic used by Imperial warships for ambushes and covert deployment, the procedure was retained in Exavis’ retrofitted protocol, enabling it to lie in wait for pirate activity or avoid unwanted attention while traversing dangerous sectors.

This is by far the most complex digital build I've made, with more than 4.000 bricks, and a lot of tough. I was heavily inspired by ships from the Alien franchise and the USG Ishimura from Dead Space - I tried to make the Agressor-class Destroyer fit that aesthetic. Thank you for watching!

Absolutely one of the best Sci-Fi ships I've ever seen! The greebling is very clean and the details aren't too messy. Presentation is gorgeous, as usual, but the ventral shot is especially good. It does lack a bit of that Star Wars feel to me, possibly because of just how futuristic this beast looks. Awesome work, and I would kill to see a physically built version
