The C3 Pythor Starfighter was a rugged and utilitarian reissue of an outdated High Republic-era design, repurposed for modern use despite its archaic origins. Reissued by ARGO Industries in collaboration with Rothana Heavy Engineering, the C3 was produced in limited numbers, intended for specialized roles rather than mass deployment. As a heavy starfighter, it featured a distinctive single rectangular wing that could rotate around the cockpit, shifting between horizontal and vertical configurations to adapt to different combat scenarios. This rotating wing system helped offset the fighter’s inherent lack of maneuverability due to its size while also allowing it to operate efficiently in atmospheric conditions, making it ideal for patrolling and defending ARGO Industries' planetary sites. Equipped with a powerful onboard shield generator and an impressive arsenal, the C3 compensated for its bulk with sheer firepower. At its core, a single but immensely powerful ion engine provided exceptional thrust, making up for its otherwise cumbersome handling. Though it lacked the finesse of more agile starfighters, the C3 Pythor saw use as a patrol vessel across the Arkanis and Hunnovers sectors and frequently accompanied high-value cargo convoys, ensuring their safe passage through dangerous space.
