The Roach
Fleet of “Roaches”
With minimal upgrades, ARGO adapted the freighters for modern logistics, equipping them with enhanced cargo bay systems and reliable, if basic, navigation tech. While newer ships in the fleet handled high-priority shipments, the "Roaches" became the backbone of ARGO's operations—cheap to maintain, tough as durasteel, and capable of enduring abuse that would sideline more delicate vessels.
YT-370 Locust-class Heavy Freighter
The YT-370 Locust-class Heavy Freighter, nicknamed "The Roach," was a relic of Corellian shipbuilding, a bulky transport long considered obsolete by modern standards. Designed as a heavy barge for industrial cargo operations, it had little of the sleek elegance associated with later Corellian designs but carried hints of their DNA—like the signature cone-shaped cockpit, and modular compartments. Unlike its faster, more agile successors, the Locust-class prioritised brute durability over finesse, with reinforced plating and oversized thrusters that gave it a sluggish, lumbering presence in space. Despite its age, "The Roach" remained a staple of the ARGO Industries cargo fleet, valued for its reliability and capacity to haul immense loads across long distances. Covered in patches, scorch marks, and decades of wear, it was a workhorse in every sense—a testament to Corellian engineering’s ability to withstand decades of the harshest conditions and keep flying.

Another freighter for the Argo Transit fleet - I've had so much fun coming up with background stories for these.
Thanks for watching!
Inspiration for this freighter came from Digital Shipyard at Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/qeNmQn
