[R7 - The Wheel - BSB] Bargain of Blades

Traskk leaned back in his chair, his reptilian eyes narrowing as he listened to Zalik’s proposal. “Extra protection for Lady Seraphina and her advisors, is it?” he mused, his claws tapping thoughtfully on the table. “And in return, we get free passage through Court-controlled space and access to their intel network.”

Zalik nodded, his expression calm and unreadable. “Indeed, Traskk. The Court prizes discretion and security above all else. We believe this arrangement would greatly benefit both parties.”

Traskk grunted, his mind already calculating the potential advantages and the risks of working with the Court. “And these bounties you mentioned?” he asked, his gravelly voice low. “Who are the targets, and why is the Court after them?”

Zalik leaned forward, locking eyes with Traskk confidently. “The targets are individuals who threaten the stability and security of the Court’s operations,” he explained. “Their removal would ensure the continued success of our efforts, and guarantee the safety of Lady Seraphina and her advisors.”

Traskk sat in silence for a moment, weighing the benefits of accepting the bounties against the dangers of getting BSB too involved in the Court’s affairs. After a tense pause, he nodded. “Very well,” he said, his voice firm. “We’ll take the bounties. But we’ll do it our way. Our operatives will handle the jobs, and we’ll expect full cooperation from the Court.”

A thin smile appeared on Zalik’s face, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “Agreed, Traskk,” he said, extending a hand across the table. “May our partnership be fruitful and mutually beneficial.”

Traskk clasped Zalik’s hand firmly, sealing the deal between BSB and the Court. Both leaders knew that they had just embarked on a perilous path.

This is my second entry aboard The Wheel, introducing The Court, a faction that will play a big role in my upcoming builds and storylines.
