[S8 - Sriluur - BSB] Arming the Weequay

In recent weeks, Sriluur has seen an increasing number of skirmishes involving the Imperial occupying force and various Weequay insurgent groups. Reportedly, the Hutt leadership on-planet have convened with the Imperial Governor, Newen Streeg in the capital city of Al-Campur. The Hutts have publicly accused outside forces of meddling with their business operations on the planet. It’s expected that the planet’s starports and mining facilities will require increased Imperial security, should these attacks continue. The native Weequay have yet to coalesce into a united group, however the largest among them is rumoured to be the Weequay Liberation Front.

The eery hum of the desert reverberated over the dunes while the rim of vegetation surrounding the crumbling airfield swayed in the breeze. A commercial transport, marked with the red and blue logo of Anzat Aviation sat on the tarmac. The side door swung open and the booming voice of the ex-imperial pilot, Garr Thiff filled the night air: “I’ve got 5 minutes and a ship full of blasters! Chop chop wee-chums!”

At the command of the Lieutenant in charge, the uniformed Weequay rushed forward and began unloading the weapons from of a man they would have once considered their enemy. The Weequay excitedly cracked open the crates and dispersed the rifles amongst themselves. Garr shook hands with the lieutenant before climbing back into the battered transport. 

“Give em’ hell” he called out before firing up the engines. Then he was gone.
