The engines of the Afterburn flared as the ship entered orbit.

A modified bulk freighter, the Afterburn was a one of a kind ship. In the space between the mandibles — usually for cargo — was a custom landing strip for smaller vessels, with a hangar bay sitting at the end. A custom job that allowed the Afterburn to deploy and store various snubfighters for suitable pirate activity.

The whole ship was practically a custom job. Utilizing the chassis of the bulk freighter that the Afterburn originally was, it was modified with parts from the Hapes Consortium, Rendili StarDrive, and other scavenged bits. An old ship, but kept in great shape due to the nature of its construction.

At the request of its current owner, the ship came to reflect his loud nature. Colorful and spirited, it looked more like a racing vehicle than the freighter that it originally was. The stripes weren’t just for looks, they hinted at the mobility that the customization afforded the ship. The Afterburn was no longer a slow bulk freighter, with the upgrades, it was able to reach some decent speeds.

At a length of around 510 meters, the Afterburn was large enough to host the armada it was built for. It was also well equipped to defend and support that armada. A rotating turbolaser sat at the edge of the runway. The main bridge was equipped with two turbolasers defending the rear. The shields of the vehicle gave the snubfighters settled inside ample time to come to the ship’s defense. With three exits from the Hangar Bay, the ships were able to deploy from most angles.

The interior of the ship was home to a myriad of pirates. Home base to Dash’s Runners, it was the perfect headquarters for his crew. The bridge allowed for a wide range of vision, and it was where all commands were given from. Retrofitted for their needs, they could observe all functions from the comfort of the central command center. The ship’s size allowed it to be fitted with a number of amenities, keeping the large crews that inhabited the ship sated and comfortable.
