The Leviathan was a relic of the Kuat Drive Yards. A rather old vehicle, it was commandeered by the Iron Tide pirates after the Republic’s fall. In the years since its acquittal, it had undergone extensive overhauls to suit the crew’s needs and bear the scars of countless battles. One such battle left its rear section nearly obliterated, forcing a hasty reconstruction that permanently altered its original design. An overhaul that saw the redesign of its thrusters and engines, and the relocation of the main bridge.
The ship was scarred but reliable. Retrofitted with turbolasers and laser cannons, the Leviathan was a brawler. Its reinforced hull provided the perfect bulwark for launching boarding probes, allowing the pirates to seize their prey with brutal efficiency. With the installation of a hangar bay, the Leviathan served as a mobile base, ferrying smaller strike craft that extended the crew’s reach and amplified their power.
The Iron Tide were a rather successful group of pirates, and the Leviathan was commanded by the vice-admiral. The Leviathan was one of two capital ships, and was formidable enough to operate on its own. Spreading the influence of the coming Tide, the Leviathan was a force to be reckoned with.
You mastered the use of the 1x2 grilled slope and its implications with perfection. And what I really enjoy that these are all physical builds!
The Leviathan is my favorite here. A highlight from any angle with all these small transitions of orientation. And it's such a star wars-y ship from design point of view! What I'm only missing is a size reference or mentioning. How big is this lady?
Overall a perfect addition to the non-Rebel/non-Empire fleets.
It truly conveys this blockade runner vibe and I love it! 👍
