Doug captured the Great Grubadoo many years ago on the planet of Felucia, the native home of the gelagrub species. Removed from its ancestral home, the grub has broken out of the normal life cycle of its species maintaining its grub form for many years. While not known for their speed, the gelagrub is notable for being able to continuously crawl indefinitely, provided it has sufficient food and moisture for its skin. In the jungles of Felucia, or the swamps of Pam'ba, Doug and "GG's" current home, the gelagrub simply propels itself forward with its mouth open, thereby sustaining itself while moving. But will the sturdy beast maintain its pace on the curated race tracks of Cantonica?

Doug the Ugnaught is a famous beast tamer, currently riding the Great Grubadoo. He currently uses "GG" to scout the swamps of Pam'ba, finding new trails and transporting goods and passengers for the Wanderers of the Whills. He chooses to ride with as much skin contact as possible, claiming that it strengthens his psychic bond with his beloved grub. He vehemently denies it it is because of the mildly hallucinogenic saliva secreted by the gelagrub.
