One of the last native species of Kwevron, the Greater Wydor represents much of the planet’s existence before the arrival of the Empire and its agricultural initiative. Though much of the populace benefitted from the attention of such a large investor, the tall forests and swamps of the Kwevron mainland did not. Replacing these original environments were large quantities of Nerf herds and fields upon fields of grain. Though many of Kwevron’s species died out over the course of the Empire’s rule, the Greater Wydor proved to be the most adaptable and resistant of them all. 

Adjusting its diet away from the small creatures of Kwevron’s swamps, the Wydor became a prolific hunter of the enormous Nerf herds roaming across the fields and pastures. More important than its humble speed, the Wydor’s greatest strength lies in its endurance. Able to keep pace behind the Nerf herds, the Wydor will use a burst of great speed to close the gap between it and its prey once it has tired. 

This combination of an impressive endurance, coupled with a violent burst of closing speed, has made this team - jockey Borgan Taanfaar and his mount, The Strider of Mal Ethon - one of the most exciting racers on the circuit. Famous for lagging slightly behind until the very last lap, this Wydor has ruined hundreds of gamblers' evenings in the Outer Rim tour by beating out all of its quicker, more agile, competition. With their latest victory in the Muunilinst Derby, Taanfaar and his Strider are thundering their way into contention in the biggest race of them all, the Canto-Key Derby!
