[Tournament - The Boonta Gauntlet - Cages of Carnage] Entralla's Colossal Crustacean

Thriving in the moist and stagnant environments of Entralla's many sinkholes, the Nexus Dock Crab is an enormous and rarely seen crustacean that locals claim to have lived on Entralla since life first developed on the planet. Notable not only for its huge size, this enigmatic creature is often seen as an omen of a shift in power in the planet's politics.

While most of the time the Dock Crab is herbivorous, eating the wide variety of aquatic and terrestrial plants and algae that grow around their sinkhole homes, the spring season on Entralla causes them to become ravenously carnivorous, and have been known to snatch company dockworkers standing too close to the edge of sinkholes. This has prompted company leadership to schedule holidays around these dangerous seasons, and gave this crustacean it's name.

But despite the crab's usual occupation as an herbivore, this creature has weapons to ensure a swift end to any attacker. Armoured head to toe in rock-hard shell, only the strongest of opponent weaponry can crack the Dock Crab's exterior. Two enormous crusher claws and quick mandibles allow the Dock Crab to crush, slice, and dice with ease.

And weaponry isn't the crustacean's only visual perk. Whenever a Dock Crab molts, its new armour takes the camouflage, and even live plants, of the surrounding vegetation in order to better hide and counteract the disadvantage of its huge mass. In very rare cases, Dock Crabs can be found with two or more types of Entralla's flowering vegetation, resulting in a beautiful, but poorly camouflaged, exterior. In addition, they can often be found carrying large items on their backs as shells, but with no larger predator discovered on Entralla, researchers can only guess as to the reason for their apparent need for protection.

In this Boonta Gauntlet event, we are THRILLED to announce that one of these Dock Crabs will be participating in the CAGES OF CARNAGE event! This rare individual, distinguished by natural, two-toned floral decorations, and sporting the stolen wing of an old Imperial Starfighter as a shell, is sure to become a fan-favorite for any gladiatorial enthusiast!
