Kvasu, called The Merciful One in the arena, had once been a Hutt enforcer. The Kadas'sa'Nikto had been cast adrift after a zealous Moff arrested the Hutt, and found his calling in the blood-soaked sands of the fighting pits. Across the Outer Rim, his iconic combination of catch-pole and Gungan energy shield mark him as one of the few gladiators whose primary weapons aren't lethal.

But don't mistake his mercy for weakness. A vibroblade hangs at his belt, ready to deliver the killing blow if the crowd wills it. A small shoulder guard and a fur neck guard made from the pelt of a Wookie opponent make up the entirety of his protective garments, the better to show off the surprising lack of scars for someone who's been in the game as long as Kvasu.
