Description

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, various corporations in the Velcar Free Commerce Zone thrived with their contracts with the resource-hungry Imperial war machine. With its demise, these companies found themselves lacking their biggest customer. Into this void stepped the equally desperate and battered Imperial Remnant led by the Moff Ardus Kaine. Kaine’s remnant, lacking both ships and manpower, found the perfect set of partners in the orphaned corporations. Together, these powers would found a new Empire centered in the all-important Velcar Commerce Zone. This Empire, the new PENTASTAR ALIGNMENT, sought to bring order and security to a region desperately in need of it.

Organization

Under the overall leadership of Moff Kaine, the Pentastar Alignment is split into two main branches: ORDER and ENFORCEMENT

Order

The Bureaucratic and Legal arm of the Alignment, Order includes prominent divisions such as the Judgement and the Protectorate. These two divisions primarily dealt in Intelligence and covert operations for the Alignment. Not under direct military jurisdiction, members of the Order report directly to Kaine himself.

Enforcement

The military branch of the Alignment is made up almost exclusively of the Pentastar Patrol. This Patrol, the naval and ground forces of the Alignment, mostly includes Ex-Imperial soldiers from Kaine’s Scourge Squadron, but also members of the member corporation’s private militias. The Patrol’s navy consists mostly of formerly Imperial vessels, but new designs and prototypes are always being tested and implemented into the Patrol’s ranks!

Pentastar Patrol

The Pentastar Patrol is the umbrella term for all military forces serving the Alignment. While most patrol members are Ex-Imperial, a growing number of local citizens and Corporate militia members are beginning to fill the ranks. This means that, unlike the old Imperial Military, the Patrol allows non-humans to serve in any branch of the Patrol.

Patrol Navy

Despite commanding a sizable fleet in the Outer Rim, Moff Kaine’s decision not to join the larger Remnant at Jakku cost him most of the vessels in the fleet, most of which met their demise at the Battle of Jakku. Although the loss significantly reduced the Alignment’s Naval power, Kaine and Grand Admiral Octavian Grant have begun rebuilding using many prototypes, scavenged vessels, and Imperial surplus.

Imperial Knights

The Jedi of the Old Republic are a fascinating construct. These were an order of powerful, disciplined individuals who operated at the Senate’s pleasure, wielding its authority. They were unconfined to one singular purpose: though renowned as warriors, Jedi Knights were deployed as mediators, investigators, problem-solvers. One Jedi was often considered enough to resolve even a major conflict. Their one flaw was their famous devotion to their strange religion. One wonders if such devotion was an…unfortunate requirement for skills such as theirs.

But even if stripping away that aspect of their order left warriors only half as capable, they would be more formidable than anything the Empire ever employed. Imagine, an Order of Knights that served the Alignment like this.

Grand Moff Kaine

The Imperial Knights are an order of Alignment personnel specialized in the protection and defense of the people, lands, and ideals of the new Pentastar Alignment. Formed from the combination of several independent cells, the Knights were officially founded as a largely independent military unit determined to serve the Alignment in ways the Patrol could not. These include guarding prominent Alignment officials, covert operations, and defensive maneuvers.

Member Corporations

The foundation and survival of the Pentastar Alignment hinges on bringing the major industrial titans of the Velcar Free Commerce Zone to the negotiations table. These companies, minor war machines in their own right, will not hesitate to use whatever means necessary to achieve their goals. Once officially part of the Alignment, Kaine and his officers will have to find a way to mediate peace between these warring corporations.

Recruit Information

Politics

  • PA is a story-driven, isolationist faction, so conquest is not our top priority. In general, we have good relations with other Imperial Remnants and are left alone by New Republic forces. However, the Red Moons and Pirates are always constant threats, so remain vigilant recruit!

Current Events

Usurpation of Entralla

The military takeover of the Entralla system by Remnant forces under the command of Moff Kaine and Grand Admiral Octavian Grant, or the Usurpation of Entralla, was the first major military action of the loosely termed Pentastar Remnant.

Centering around the political upheaval of Entralla, the usurpation began when disgruntled corporate rivals used private armies and conscripted militias to attack each other’s industrial holdings throughout the surface of the planet. Factories, assembly lines, shipyards all burned, and company housing districts were attacked without mercy.

Now, the Pentastar Remnant’s forces begin their attack on the war-stricken planet. Some of the landing soldiers are determined to protect the citizens of Entralla, some see only opportunity for conquest, but all are prepared to show the galaxy what the Empire should have been.
